We really enjoyed the 1.2 mile walk through the woods around the nature reserve. We stopped in the hides along the way to take in the wildlife. It has a decent cafe, that do sandwiches, soups, and a jacket potato, or cakes and afternoon tea if booked in advance. Plenty of seating indoor and out. A few benches in the butterfly garden if you took your own picnic. Relatively quiet even on a sunny Sunday.

Nice , pleasant walk with some well looked after bird hides to view the lakes. Friendly staff at the cafe. They give you loads of squirty cream with your cake.🤤

Lovely afternoon out breathing in nature and enjoying the walk around the Nature Reserve finishing at the cafe on site for drinks and snacks which were thoroughly enjoyed. I did leave a £2:50 donation, parking is free but the amount is requested as to help towards running costs of the nature reserve.

A great place for children and adults alike easy access and parking nice place for refreshments. Loads of waterfowl swans.ducks.cormorant.moorhen.coots. etc etc.

What an absolute gem of a nature reserve on a beautiful winter's day. There are really good hides from which to view birds on the lake, 1.3 mile walk round and accessible path with a mobility scooter too. Free to visit, but a donation I'm sure is greatly appreciated. Friendly and helpful staff in the cafe, with good food, reasonably priced. Will definitely visit again.
