Great little bay with an excellent play park for the kids. Beware on warm sunny days it can be hard to find a parking space so arrive early to set up a pitch!
When we are up in Scotland we always visit Lunderston Bay, its never been over busy whatever the time of year we go there. We like collecting the shells that are washed up and making trinkets out of them. There is a children's play area there which is closed in and well looked after, in the summer the ice cream van is always in the car park. Parking is free so if you are peckish after walking along the beach, the garden centre over the road has a good restaurant which a lot of people who visit the bay use. The beach is an excellent place to just chill out and unwind for an hour or two and watch the boats go by. Steve and Jenny.
Probably one of the most amazing places I have been to. Found this gorgeous beach by chance just by driving further and further because curiosity killed the cat lol. And what a beauty to find it is stunning and if like me you love collecting sea glass then this is the place for you. Apart from that got to see Dolphins 🐬 and it's a nice place to relax and forget about everything else. 🩵🩵🩵🩵
Amazing place. Great for a day out with a family and kids. Amazing play park aside, very clean and in good condition, lots of equipment for different ages. Beach beside the car park. Car park a bit small. Toilets available. Ice cream van. Picnic benches on the grass bit. Sand a d stones on the beach. Amazing views as it is like the woods meet with the sea. Seashells and all sort of stunning pebbles for small explorers. Lots of sea glass to fit d too 😍
This beach is brilliant, it’s sandy, the tide goes out really far and there is plenty of rock pools to the side of the beach with lots of wildlife in them. There’s a good sized field that acts as a barrier between the beach and the car park to let the kids go wild without worrying with picnic benches and public toilets which are immaculate but did close about 4ish when we were there. The park is also pristine with plenty for the kids to do unlike many other parks around.
