Great little place to see some nature. If you’re into bird watching then this is a great place as there’s plenty in the lake. Lots of other wildlife to observe, too like owls, deer, rabbits etc. Can bring dogs but as there are sheep grazing, they’re asked to be kept on leads in certain areas. Theres a car park which has recently been updated (£4 all day on private land). Runs by the River Alt which is always lovely to look at. There’s nothing else here other than nature so it’s so peaceful Can go further than the nature reserve if looking for a longer walk

Excellent nature reserve with loads of bird spotting opportunities for waterbirds and waders as well as various raptors, a variety of warblers, etc. There are lots of clear paths as well as some good hides to use. Parking is good and for £4 is very reasonably priced.

Beautiful place for a short day out in nature. A lovely brand new coffee shop near the car park as well with large sitting area inside and outside.

Nice place for a walk and for bird watching which is next to the River Alt. But you now have to pay a car parking fee. There is a camera at the entrance and you input your car reg into the machine at the cafe. At the moment £4 for the day. Cafe opening soon? I think they should have a sign before camera saying there are now parking fees. Never use to be until recently.

Such a beautiful and tranquil place. The river Alt runs through it so there's alot of birds. We spotted lots of badger tracks and squirrels. A beautiful place for a walk with the kids.
