Evan as a journalist, I have totally run out of superlatives about this place. It almost seems to have more sand than the Sahara, stretching as high and as wide as the eye can see. At times the sea appears more turquoise than the Caribbean, but even when the skies are grey(a lot of the time), it has a beauty all of its own. One word for Luskentyre would have sufficed. Wow.

Was not disappointed at all. Stunning beach and backdrop. Parking is very limited so advised to go early.

Stunning beach with cold turquoise water. Spent some time walking along the water and on the dune overlooking the beach. Parking lot is fairly small but we were able to find a spot near the cemetery. Cute sheep at nearby farm. Road is single track with pull offs and wasn't too hard to navigate.

The beach is quite beautiful however people with walking difficulties should be aware that the route to the beach is not paved or even. With wheelchair alone it is impossible, if you have a strong skilled person with you, one can try. Please see the pictures. To enjoy the beach one can also choose a scenic parking spot near the Luskentyre Beach Cabins.

Luskentyre Beach is an extraordinary place, with a beauty that feels almost unreal. The white sand, the turquoise waters with Caribbean-like colours, and the open landscape of the Outer Hebrides create a truly unique atmosphere, quiet and wild, ideal for beautiful walks, photography, and simply admiring the scenery. It is a very wide beach, with soft sand and rather cold water, but when the sun breaks through the clouds, the contrast is infinitely beautiful. Walking along this beach brings a deep sense of peace, as if time itself were slowing down. The contrast between sea, sky, and hills makes everything incredibly scenic, especially on clear, bright days. It is one of those places that stay in your memory for their authenticity and powerful atmosphere. One piece of advice is to wear layers, as the weather changes quickly and it is best to be prepared. Absolutely worth visiting for anyone who loves nature, wide open spaces, and special places. Enjoy your day.
