Lovely museum with lots of interesting information about and artefacts from Lyme Regis and its varying history and famous visitors. A big thank you to the staff, especially Lizzie, my mum is visually impaired and low mobility, Lizzie was very kind and understanding as well as knowledgeable about the local area. There’s a lift to the first floor as well which was great as my mum struggles with stairs. Also your ticket lasts a year, so you can return as many times as you like on one ticket 🥰

Lots to see. Beautiful old display cabinets with drawers you are allowed to open, they slide very smoothly. Nice gift shop not just kids stuff also good books for learning.

Great fossil walk led by Kayce. He was funny, knowledgeable, and really informative. Great family outing (over 6es only)!

The museum is well laid out and has very informative displays covering a wide range of artefacts and human interest stories regarding the history of Lyme Regis as well as Mary Anning and Paleontology. The museum also offers workshops and trails for children. We attended an excellent talk on the author John Fowels. The museum has guided tours of the town by local people. We attended a historical walk with Fred on the various films shot in Lyme Regis. Which was very interesting and an excellent way to learn about Lyme. Highly recommend a visit.

Fascinating. Lots to read. Toilets inside which is helpful. We had a little activity to do on the way round. My 6 year old wasn't overly engaged but she liked the dinosaurs so hopefully it will come in use when she is older. A nice activity to do though if you are visiting
