Lymm Dam is a lovely place for a peaceful walk, surrounded by beautiful woodland and scenic views across the water. The paths are well-maintained and suitable for most ages and fitness levels, making it a great spot for families, dog walkers, and anyone looking to enjoy some fresh air. The circular route offers a mix of shaded woodland trails and open areas with stunning views of the dam. Wildlife is plentiful, and it’s common to spot ducks, swans, and other birds along the way. The walk is especially picturesque during autumn when the changing leaves add vibrant colours to the landscape. Parking and local amenities are conveniently nearby, and the village of Lymm is just a short distance away, offering cafés and shops to visit after the walk. Overall, Lymm Dam is a relaxing and scenic destination that provides a welcome escape from busy everyday life. Highly recommended for a leisurely stroll and a chance to enjoy nature.

🌿 Lymm Dam – A Local Gem for Families and Dogs! Bella (our dog) absolutely loves it here – plenty of space for a good walk and a dip in the water. It’s a lovely, peaceful spot for a family stroll, and the kids always have fun searching for the painted rocks hidden along the paths. A great mix of nature, wildlife, and simple adventures. Highly recommended!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A perfect family day out — peaceful, pretty, and full of charm We had a fantastic day out at Lymm Dam with our young boys. It’s a beautiful, peaceful spot with just the right mix of woodland walks, calm water, and village charm. The kids loved exploring the shady forest paths and climbing onto old tree stumps for a drink stop. We saw loads of ducks and swans gliding across the water — plenty of chances to feed them too. The cottages along the dam are like something out of a storybook, with white walls, yellow doors, and flower boxes bursting with colour. The whole area is spotless and well-kept, and there are benches everywhere to pause and take in the view. It’s an easy walk for little legs, with no steep hills or tricky terrain. Great for families, nature lovers, or anyone needing a breather from busy life. Tip: Take a bottle of water and a camera — you’ll want to remember how peaceful it feels here. Highly recommended. We’ll definitely be back.

Lymm dam is such a lovely place for a long Sunday walk, it’s a circular route and we did a couple of loops. Even though it was extremely heavy rain and a bit windy it was still a great place. The paths/walkways are clear and really easy to follow too. I noticed a couple of signs around the route which were really informative.

Very beautiful place. Beautiful long walks around the Dam. There is near by parkings available. You can go near to water through the side steps. You can go for quite a long walk along the sides of the dam. Enjoy the calm water and long walk on sides through the trees. Relaxing and enjoying the peaceful nature
