Great circular walk around a quarry. Took us around 30 mins with the dog, although there are lots of other smaller pathways to explore so you could spend longer. Tiny parking area would be the only criticism.

We often go for a walks here with my toddler. It's a lovely walk in all seasons especially spring. I just wish some dog walkers would be more responsible picking up their dogs mess. Last time we went 2 weeks ago the amount of dog mess around was horrific and ruined the walk for us non dog owners, not to mention the safety risk to children to want to explore.

Enjoyable walk around the nature reserve today. Clean and well maintained, even seen a group of volunteers working at it today, nice one 👍. Also has a playground for younger children and an exercise area too. The pond was unfortunately dried out with little water in it, unsure if if this is related to lack of rain or something else. Free parking at the site too which is gated so may be closed off out of hours but there is a small parking area nearby if you go through the railway tunnel.

What a wondrous maze of trails going hither and thither through thickets of birch, pine and more. Amazing to find such a large feature composed of sandy gravel, the drainage is such that you find highly unusual carpets of lichen actually growing on the ground.
