Hillside park with flying fox, bike track and stunning Forth views near Arthur's Seat.

Meadowfield Park sits on the eastern slope of Arthur's Seat with spectacular views of the Forth Estuary and East Lothian. The play area was upgraded in 2010 and features a refurbished flying fox, buddy swing, space net, tunnel slide, and balancing beam. A 260m blue-grade bike track suits intermediate riders with basic off-road skills. The mix of woodland and grassland makes this perfect for Easter egg rolling or winter sledging.

Wide open space, dog-friendly, decent views of Edinburgh and the sea minus the tourists. Next door to Holyrood park there is the option to join the tourists at Arthur’s seat too, if you want. 😄

Good place to catch the sun. Mostly free parking on nearby streets. Has a large playground for children and also has a quiet and peaceful footpath to catch amazing city and sea views.

Very clean and well kept park. There is more than ample parking available. There is a paved trail connecting the park and ride, playground, basketball courts to the athletic complex and baseball fields. There are Porter Johns and a pavilion as well as a water fountain. Very quiet and peaceful. It doesn't get too crowded, but I prefer the park opposite the park and ride because it is more quiet and secluded there

Has amazing views but a bit of a walk to get too in the first place, I tend to end up here after walking too far up the tar road
