Always a great experience here. Good carpark, friendly staff, excellent pool and clean changing rooms. Very relaxed environment unlike other pools which have 60 min time limit to get dressed, swim and get out again. I arrived early and was allowed to go straight through to the changing rooms x

Meridian Leisure Centre Louth The family went swimming around midday on Wednesday 18 February 2026. Both swimming pools and the air temperature were cold. Our negative swimming experience was made worse by the supercilious, unprofessional and condescending response of the young lifeguard to whom we complained. "It's within the temperature parameters". I reported his attitude and comment to the supervisor on reception. What a contrast! He explained the reason for the cold and apologised, adding that he was responsible for training staff and would speak to his unhelpful subordinate - so four stars to him in this regard.

This centre is a fun and enjoyable place to go to. The pool is lovely and clean and the slide is extremely fun. The changing rooms are clean aswell. The toilets could use some extra cleaning but overall a very nice place. I love it here and there are so many fun activities to experience.

Overall, I’ve had a great experience with this gym and would normally give it a 5-star rating. However, my visit on the evening of April 29th, 2025, was disappointing and needs to be addressed. At approximately 9:10–9:11 PM (depending on which clock you reference within the facility), the sauna room light was turned off without any prior notice, well before the stated closing time. Shortly after, despite still having 6–7 minutes until official closing, all the lights in the main gym area were also switched off. I proceeded to weigh myself in the dark, which was both inconvenient and unsafe. To be clear, I think the staff are great and have always been professional. However, the increasingly early shutdown of facilities—sometimes before the official closing time—is starting to raise questions among regular members. Some were even saying the gym should return to its previous 10 PM closing time. I personally agree; it was a more reasonable and accommodating schedule. This experience was far below the standard I’ve come to expect, and I will be submitting a formal complaint to ensure it’s addressed appropriately. I must add if this issue I gets resolved in good time and conditions improve over the next coming month I will remove this post and write a fresh review more in tune with hopefully 5 star rating. But for now I wait a reply.

Been using this facility for several months. The layout and facility is clean fresh and the staff are excellent. The clubs are great and very proactive trainers. Shout out to Lewis and lou (gym & swim) our son loves there classes. Plenty for all the family .. worth the drive.
