Great experience with the kids on the Mersey Ferry. We hopped off at one stop and got back on again, which made it feel like a proper little adventure. Lovely views and a fun way to see Liverpool from the water. Only reason for 4 stars is that it could have done with some heating, as it was quite cold today.

I like doing boat trips on the sea, but it always seems to be cold weather everytime I do this. Mersley Ferries was good value for money for what you experience for 50 minutes. You can but the tickets online or at the desk, and they can give you a leaflet with a sort of map that shows where your boat is heading. (there is also a combi River Cruise and Tour bus option). I liked that there's an online audio guide that you can listen to as it gets near the attractions and places of interest while you sail. There are good views to see on the journey, it's a shame it was cold and windy during my visit, as I chose to sit outside the whole time to get the full experience. With my binoculars I could see far into the distance, such as the Paul O'Grady memorial. There is an option to get off at Seacombe if you want to get to Wirral. I can't say anything about the food and drink on board, as I didn't get any.

It's an ok experience. I went on the first trip of the morning at 10am. Went we got off there were a lot more people waiting to get on the 11am trip so it's better to go early. My issue is there isn't anything to see for most of it. The audio guide is online. you have to scan a QR code. on the explorers map is lists two ventilation shafts. The river is really wide, the boat goes up a little then back round. You are really far and it moves so slowly. It could have been 30min max. They would be better off charging £5 sail out so people can take their picture and return in 10mins. All the landmarks are in one place.

Took my son and grandson out for a ride on the Mersey Ferry as my grandson had never been on it. Its a few years since ive been on it myself, and my parents would rake me on it lots of times when I was a kid. It brought back lots of memories, and its also very educational, with lots of interesting historical facts coming over the PA system. It has a little cafe on board selling hot & cold drinks and snacks, all reasonably priced too. The staff on board are very helpful and polite, and only to pleased to answer any questions you may have. All in all, it was a great experience again, and my grandson and son loved it.

It was well worth the fifty-minute sailing. The narration on board taught me much about Liverpool's past that I was previously unaware of, and the city views are amazing. It's a very soothing method to get a fresh view of the city. We truly enjoyed the experience. This is a must-do whether you live in Liverpool or are just visiting!
