I like this park. Stepping into this park feels like taking a deep, refreshing breath of fresh air. It is a absolute masterclass in urban landscape design, seamlessly blending natural serenity with thoughtful human craftsmanship. Every detail seems intentionally curated to foster peace-from the immaculate, velvet-like green lawns that invite you to kick off your shoes, to the vibrant, perfectly manicured flowerbeds that burst with a kaleidoscope of seasonal colors.

A beautifully maintained Victorian park with lovely gardens, open green spaces, and scenic walking paths. It’s perfect for a peaceful stroll, a family day out, or simply relaxing by the lake. A real gem in Wigan, with a welcoming atmosphere and plenty of character.

Nice local park, clean, with well kept grass areas, flower beds, fountain, monumets kids play areas and cafe in pavilion. Pleasant place to relax.

A lovely park, well maintained, with lots to see and do. Interesting statues and monuments, bandstand, pavilion serving ice creams as we as refreshments and light lunches, lake, rode garden, play park and outdoor gym. See photos. We spent a couple of hours here just wandering around and enjoying a coffee. Toilets inside the cafe. Ramp to pavilion if steps are an issue. Paved paths suitable for buggies and wheelchair users. Dogs welcome. We parked just outside on the terrace street and paid for parking from the meter which accepted card payment.

I kno this place from being a little kid and it has improved in some ways but not others, it's changed a lot since then, let's start with the bad bit as I been with my kids recently, there's not really much for older kids as the is only just swings but you have got a park for much younger ones, when you enter mains park the is many entrances but if you go in by where you can get married an walk down past the main path you come to the statue that you but the guys foot an make a wish, then you come to the fountain where you can chuck a penny or two in an make wish there too, moving onto the café, don't get me wrong it's nice but take a few quid coz you'll need it, the is a football pitch at the back, ok to play on, kids park ermmm yeah you decide on that, baby park oki, the was a basketball court at the back as well as crazy golf and 3 bowling green but that side if the park is lacking a bit of tlc, don't forget the duck pond and the fountain, it's nice, an flowers there is a lot in there, honestly it's a nice place to go and the is toilets in the café oh and the is a band stand too
