I read another reviewer that said he's happy how people rate this so low and agree with him because Millbank Gardens is one of those places you hope no one else ever notices so you can keep it yourself. Hidden just off the Millbank, behind the Tate and the government buildings, it’s a small, patch of green where everything - noise, movement, tension - just stops. As a park, it's nothing special, really. There’s nothing flashy here. A few benches, a scattering of old trees, a narrow path or two. An outdoor gym...of sorts...but the peace is real and complete. You can sit and hear birdsong, wind through the leaves, and almost nothing else. I find this to be a little miracle in central London. Come here if you need to get away for while, get some space, or just a break from being a person in a city. I'm sure this park isn't for everyone but there is something special about this very simple and common space.

I like how people rate it so low….keep people out as it is the best quiet little vid away from the gullible tourist. Don’t get me steered in hoe quiet and tranquil this location. Dreadfully chill and comfortable it almost makes you feel alive in a city full of ponies and over crowd tourists. You can actually hear the wildlife singing praises…or insults to get out of their sanctuary. 😂

This is a small urban park behind and to the west of the Tate Britain museum. What you find are two small rectangular shaped fields of grass surrounded by paved walking path. There are fairly tall trees providing green colour during the warmer months and a bit of shade. There is some exercise equipment here as well. A good spot for local residents and others passing by seeking a place to rest their feet, potentially a good post-museum outdoor location on good weather days in this regard.

I was surprised to come across this well maintained park in the heart of the city.

Well maintained small patch with trees, shrubs, a flower bed, an old shelter and outdoor gym situated at the back of Tate Britain. An agreeable spot as any to while away, mull over the imponderables and be reviewing the situation.
