Lovely park to have a walk, take the dog or family in not to far from the train station and town centre. Toilets and ideal for a family picnic.

Awesome place to spend time with family. There are lots of green areas and the riverside walk is peaceful. Toilets are available. The kids' play area is limited and could be greatly improved. We really enjoyed our moments.

Avenham Park is an absolute gem in the heart of Preston. Beautifully maintained with stunning views over the River Ribble, it’s the perfect place for a peaceful walk, a family picnic, or just some quiet time to relax. The landscaped gardens, wide paths, and historic features give the park so much character, and it always feels calm and welcoming. A real credit to the city and a must-visit for anyone local or passing through. 🌳✨

We loved the park, wonderful for a long walk, lots of dogs and children enjoying themselves, a nice cafe and we even saw some squirrels! Highly recommend it, but wear good shoes because there are a lot of steps and steep inclines!

A beautiful, large park in the centre of Preston. Visit the Japanese garden, the lovely cafe. Do Park Run or Walk on a Saturday morning. Lots of wildlife, runs alongside the river Ribble. My favourite spot. Highly recommended 😊
