We wanted to try a walk that we hadn't done and this walk was a lovely surprise. There are lots of different paths( enough that we didn't come out where we expected to) and some nice sights such as a stream and a few different bridges. The viaducts were a suprise and very interesting. The paths were well maintained and the walk was not at all strenuous.

I entered this wood on a Sunday afternoon from the Monkstown area but found it to be creepy, empty of people, unloved and very uninviting. I didn't find any of the nice areas pictured but maybe I didn't walk far enough through. Not the kind of place for families or females on their own. Suitable for dog walks if you're happy enough to walk through the wood.

Brilliant place for a good walk, plenty of paths in the woodland, bridge over the river , plenty of wildlife to be seen , recommend to anyone for a good relaxing walk, peaceful listening to the nature

Great place for a relaxing stroll or to take the dog. It's hard to believe your in the middle of Monkstown as it is so peaceful. If you follow the path it then takes you into Glen Park also which has a beautiful viaduct. Perfect for prams.
