Lovely country park with lake side and woodland walks with well marked trails. Loads of picnic tables near the lake and lots of benches along main walking routes. Abundance of wildlife if you take the time to stop and stare. Parking can be a bit pricey so choose a time to go that you can afford.

We love coming here every year with our church family for a day out. The play trail equipment is great and currently being updated - the new structures are really lovely. Keeps the kids entertained for hours with the excitement of what’s next on the trail. We particularly like the treetop walkway. There’s a little train, go ape, gruffalo trail, musical walk around the lake and another big park opposite the picnic field that has tonnes to offer too as well as a visitor centre and cafe. I do have a bug bear though… every single year we queue for ages to get in the car park and people get turned away at the gate only an hour after it opening! Surely there’s plenty of space to create more parking to fix this issue, it’s quite stressful for families who’ve come a long way to go there.

We had such a fantastic day at Moors Valley Country Park! It’s honestly one of the best accessible days out we’ve found. My husband has limited mobility, so finding places where he can fully join in with our children (aged 5 and 10) isn’t always easy—but this place absolutely delivers. He was able to get around the whole park comfortably on his mobility scooter, which made a huge difference for all of us. There’s so much to do, whether you’re keeping it budget-friendly or treating yourselves. The play areas alone can keep the kids entertained for hours, and the beautiful woodland walks including the treetop walk make it just as enjoyable for adults. If you’re up for more activities, there’s plenty to choose from like Go Ape, the miniature railway, mini golf, and even driving experiences for the kids. It really feels like there’s something for everyone. The café was great too, with a good range of gluten-free options, and the ice shack is an absolute must! Well done to Moors Valley for creating such a unique and inclusive place it made for a truly memorable family day out.

Hello, I'd just like to say that Moors Valley Country Park and Ebblake Bog are some of the most stunningly beautiful, natural places to visit in Dorset. The incredible diversity of birds singing, from black caps, to song thrush, blackbirds and chiff chaff amongst others. It's an absolute tonic for my soul as a wander around the well maintained paths marveling at nature at every turn. The different varieties of lichen on the some of the trees is like a whole other ecosystem and like peering back in time thousands of years. The lakes and bogs are home to beautiful banded damselfly and dragonflies in the summer. Smelling the pine in the air on a warm day is just incredible and the air itself is so clean and there's barely any traffic noise to spoil the sounds of nature. It breaks my heart to sometimes see big machinery 'harvesting' trees and cutting down large swathes of bushes. Please don't spoil paradise. If I could suggest one thing it would be a greater diversity of trees with some native broadleafs planted in a few areas. A walk around Moors Valley and especially the Ebblake Bogs should be prescribed on the NHS! Immerse yourself in its beauty and watch the seasons change. Fabulous place to get out into the country. Has four levels of signposted walks ranging from one and a half miles up to five miles all of which are on woodland tracks, gravel and tarmac. Activities include Go Ape, Tree Top Walk and miniature railway. Unfortunately, the railway only operates at weekends. Plenty of picnic areas near the shop and benches to sit and enjoy the views along the walks. Only downside is the parking prices which are ridiculous after the 28th March.
