Visited for the first time in many years (since pre-covid) to take the dog for a long walk around the ponds/lakes. There was ample parking and I was genuinely very pleasantly surprised at how clean and tidy the pathways were around the lakes. Seems to have been investment in pathways, benches, pontoons etc in the park. There was virtually no rubbish strewn around, plenty of bins around the route and most importantly we didn't see one dog **** left not picked up by the owner. Note: Plenty of bird poop as many waterfoul on the lake (great) but this can't be avoided, and frankly doesn't bother me. I have a couple of large parks much closer to me and to not beat around the bush they are absolutely covered in dog ****. It's disgusting even as a dog owner and we now avoid walking our dog there for this reason. A very pleasant walk and experience within 10 miles of our home. We will definitely be revisiting very soon.

The wildlife was amazing this morning, the highlight of my life since I moved back to Bolton after 23 years in Horwich! The Swans, Crows, Pigeons, Geese and other assorted bird life were eating from my hands and so friendly, given a little while longer there alone and I'm sure the Squirrels would have come over for a nibble with me! If only all humans could co exist and intermingle like this what a wonderful world this would be! I've learned so much from nature over the last couple of years, far more about life and humanity than I did at school!...💝🌏💝🌎💝🌍💝

Beautiful park full of ducks and swans. There’s a playground for kids to play and very relaxing environment. Plenty of parking available and no fee to enter. There’s an ice cream van too.

Very Nice Place to relax. Kids, Young People and Adults also can visit here. There is playground here where kids can experience the outbound training activities. There is duck tank and kids enjoying to feed them. Walking path available along the duck tank and inside the park. Enough grass land inside the park. A lot of parking space available. Entrance is free. Ice cream van usually parked inside the park and the cost is bit high which is around 5GBP. Overall recommended place.

Beautiful park with 3 lakes & next to the River Croal. Ideal for all the family but no public toilets. Wheelchair & pram friendly but tarmac pathways can be a bit bumpy in places. Rock Hall is boarded up which is a shame. Plenty of wildlife. Lots of picnic & normal benches along with waste bins. Free parking in multiple little car parks but there is a height restriction at entrance. Kids play area is well kept. I'm assuming there are volunteer litter pickers because everywhere was so clean & tidy, well done 😁
