Mount Vernon Park Playground is a welcoming and well-maintained outdoor space that provides a safe and enjoyable environment for children and families in the local community. Situated within Mount Vernon Park, the playground is easy to access and surrounded by green open areas, making it a pleasant place to spend time outdoors. It is a popular spot for local families, particularly during weekends and school holidays. The playground offers a good range of equipment suitable for children of different ages. There are swings, slides, climbing frames, and balance equipment that encourage both physical activity and imaginative play. The layout is spacious, allowing children to move around freely without feeling overcrowded, even when the park is busy. Safety surfacing is in place around the equipment, helping to reduce the risk of injuries and giving parents peace of mind while their children play. One of the strengths of Mount Vernon Park Playground is its clean and well-kept condition. The equipment is generally in good working order, and the area is regularly maintained. Benches are available nearby, providing comfortable seating for parents and carers to supervise children. The surrounding parkland adds to the overall experience, offering space for picnics, walks, or relaxing after time at the playground. The playground also benefits from a calm and friendly atmosphere. It is a community-focused space where families feel comfortable, and children can socialise and play together. While the playground may not be the largest or most modern in the area, it offers enough variety to keep children entertained for a good amount of time. Overall, Mount Vernon Park Playground is a valuable local facility that promotes outdoor play and community interaction. Its safe equipment, clean surroundings, and peaceful setting make it an excellent choice for families looking for a simple, enjoyable place for children to play and spend time in nature.
Nice little park great for walking the dog or just going for a walk
Always a great place for a walk and to meet locals. And always well looked after. Nettles along path now cut back to make it safer to walk
Handy place to go 2nd Sunday every month for bird seed or if you are looking to buy 🕊️
Needs upgraded with more things for the kids to play on, only baby swings not good for older kids. Gardens not maintened it's sad to see it going downhill 😒😒
