Just did the SAWtopsy room. Well this is the first time my son and I have ever done an escape room and I have to say this was incredible. Stressful but I didn’t expect it to be a walk in the park. Lots of great puzzles, needed a couple of clues here and there but we escaped with just a few minutes on the clock. There was a little maths to do right at the end but the instruction sheet will help as will the calculator. I won’t say any more. It’s not scary ie there’s nobody jumping out on you. But it is gory in a fun way. Just do the experience and you’ll know what I mean. It’s a lovely environment like a diner in reception with plenty to drink and games to buy. All three staff we met were lovely. We absolutely will be back in a few weeks. Ps/ if you need to leave the room you press a green button on the wall even if to use the loo. You’re not actually locked in a physical sense with padlock and key :). There’s a person watching your every move on the multiple cameras and listening to every word. So if you struggle then ask for a hint! Will see you soon guys. What an experience.

(Sorry for this long review) This place is great. It was our first time doing an escape room and it was just me and my preteen. Amber gave us little helpful hints if we were struggling to find the next clue. I was startled a few times and screamed at things like things suddenly opening (I'm trying to not give away any spoilers). We didn't even do a scary one! We did Merlin's Magic Academy! The place is well themed and there's lots of little details and surprises. Some places for photo ops too. There's lots of snacks and drinks options in the bar and there's toilets nearby. There's an instruction video before you go in and they suggest going to the toilet before hand but if you're struggling with the closed room and want out or you need the toilet then you're not locked in. There's an emergency exit button and there's a staff member watching to make sure you're ok. I'm always cold and we went here during a heatwave but I took a hoodie and that was enough to keep me warm in the room (it can get cold in there because there's no sunlight). The room is dimly lit and there's battery powered candles around. It was a lot of fun. We will definitely do another. The staff member at the till said they're all intermediate and that Saw is probably the most linear. Merlin's was perfect for me and my preteen. We would probably bring another person for the others. The car park is quite busy so we chose the first time slot in the hopes we would get a spot. We did thankfully. There are three or four steps down when you get to the door for MoviESCAPE (and then up as you're leaving) so be aware of that if you struggle with stairs. If you have phobias call first to check if they have anything relating to that. My preteen is scared of spiders and there's a few spidery things around. There's a few fake snakes around too. The staff are all great and welcoming. Amber was really helpful and I didn't catch the staff member's name who handed us the photo but they were lovely too. Just a really great experience. I will be telling others about this place.

We did the Merlins magic escape room as a family of 6 including 2 under 12. The experience was really good, the staff were supportive where needed. It felt interactive and challenging enough. A really good time had by all.

Fantastic escape room experience. We did the horror one and it did not disappoint. They did very well setting the scene and the puzzles were challenging yet solvable. Overall highly recommend and would go back and try out some of their other rooms.

We had a blast at moviESCAPE Stockport! It was our work Christmas celebration and for seven of us our first time in an escape room. It was so much fun and was more challenging than expected, which was good and it felt like we'd achieved something when we escaped (even though we were a bit over the time). We had a meal booked otherwise we would have liked to have one of their yummy sounding coffees and hot chocolates. I would highly recommend this venue.
