What a quirky fun place to drop into before Kettles Yard! Lovely volunteers too!

This is the most wonderful museum to visit — well-curated and laid out, with amazing exhibits and a great range of changing temporary exhibitions. It's a fascinating look into the history of Cambridge and the people who lived here, and although it's a little way out of town it's well worth a visit. The volunteer staff are always delightful and welcoming — plus, many other museums in Cambridge (especially those associated with the University) are closed on Mondays, whereas the Museum of Cambridge isn't.

It's a great little museum full of interesting local related exhibits, some of which remind me of things my parents had, like early washing machines. Well laid out and labelled. It was nearly empty when I visited at around midday Saturday, but I guess it could get a bit cramped if it was a busy time, because it is quite small, so maybe see how crowded it is before buying a ticket!

Personally, I loved it. It is small, but very informative. It gives you a perspective of old Cambridge. The entrance fee is 7 pounds, but starting from 4pm it is 3,50 pounds - last call discount because they close at 5pm. It is very cute and I recommend a visit.
