A fabulous museum for anyone interested in communications, broadcasting and amateur radio. The volunteers are so friendly and I was privileged to make two contact in Morse code from the radio room.

As I was walking by the museum I was stopped by a lovely lady called Kathleen a retired scientist/teacher. After a long chat outside I entered the museum to find a labyrinth of technology from many years ago. It's definitely an interesting place to visit bringing back memories of days gone by. Thanks for stopping me Kathleen I really enjoyed looking around the museum. It's free to Enter or make a donation.

As of October 2023, seems to be closed until next year. Door locked and "back next year" added to the sign. Check the website before driving to avoid getting caught out like I was... (I've tried to edit the opening hours, but it doesn't seem to have worked.)

Fantastic exhibition showing (in 2023) the story of 100 years of the BBC in Scotland, from early crystal receivers to digital television. Entry is free but the museum relies on donations to run. It is open Wednesdays and Saturdays until the end of September.
