We had a nice visit to the Pendine Land of Speed Museum. I would say you could comfortably spend around an hour here. It is not necessarily somewhere you would spend a whole morning, but we felt there was plenty to see during our visit. The price was reasonable for what was included. Your ticket allows you to come and go throughout the day, which could be useful if you are visiting with children who might prefer to explore in shorter bursts. We are not particularly into cars or racing, but we still really enjoyed looking around the displays and learning some of the interesting facts about the races that took place on Pendine beach. I particularly appreciated how many chairs were dotted around the museum, making it accessible for those who need to rest whilst walking around. My daughter particularly enjoyed the interactive section. There were toy cars to race down a ramp, lift the flap facts and buttons you could press to see how different parts of an engine work. There were also colouring activities, which she loved. My favourite part was the video experience at the end. There were large screens around the room, along with fans blowing to give you the feeling of being on the beach alongside the racing car. The seats also vibrated, which made it feel surprisingly immersive. Learning about the speeds reached by the driver was fascinating! The toilets were clean and spacious, which was useful when visiting with a child and would also be handy if you have a pram. The staff were friendly and helpful. We noticed them chatting with other visitors and taking the time to help people during their visit. There was also a little gift shop which sold a range of souvenirs and toys. Overall, we enjoyed our visit. You do not need to be a racing enthusiast to get something from it, and there were enough interactive activities to keep our daughter interested too. A nice little museum to visit while you are in Pendine.

The museum is well presented, and I found the exhibits genuinely interesting, especially if you have an interest in the history of land speed records and Pendine Sands. The displays are informative and it's great to see Babs up close. That said, I don't feel there was quite enough content to justify the admission price. I had seen everything in a fairly short time, and while I enjoyed the visit, I left feeling it was a little expensive for what was on offer. I also think they missed an opportunity with the final video presentation. It would have been fascinating to include the story of Babs being buried beneath the sands, excavated decades later, and painstakingly restored, as that's one of the most remarkable parts of the car's history. Overall, I'm glad I visited once, but I probably wouldn't return unless the admission price was lower or there were more exhibits added.

Well worth a visit for any petrol head or interested in local history. We were very impressed with the museum, also fortunately Babs the star attraction was in residence, also a number of motorbikes. Children are well catered for with interactive displays such as a mini wind tunnel to play with, a cinema experience running down the sand and a free for all drawing room. There's parking for a reasonable fee and a beach café next door.

If you are into this kind of history, then it's a great. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and it is only a small museum but they are gradually developing it further. Well worth a look. Pendine beach is amazing, so long and wide, it must have been a perfect place in those days for attaining land speed records. We enjoyed it a lot.

This is A very small but fascinating place .an historical record of land speed records for the past 100 years . It doesn't take too long to see it all and become enlightened about British land speed records. But if you get the chance do drop in it's really worth it . The goods are very reasonably priced unusual these days. The toilets good sized room and spotlessly clean. The staff first class .so helpful on where else is worth seeing . Really enjoyed .not a day out but a tempting short treat break and learn something a out our British heritage.
