We visited this lovely museum and can highly recommend it. Lots of information and artefacts packed into the space with the traction engine, WW1 tank and German field gun being a few of the many highlights. The little tea room is great as well as being very fairly priced and Sarah and Dan who work in the cafe are a real credit to the museum. Sarah makes an excellent cup of tea and Dan was a real pleasure to talk to, and a great cook by the sound of it. All the staff throughout the museum were friendly and informative and enhanced the visit as well. Highly recommend and it's free for all to use which is a huge bonus.

Fantastic afternoon out. The museum is very well kept and has some fabulous old items. The highlight was seeing the 1st tank Daphne. Staff were very helpful. Highly recommend.

A really impressive and well-curated museum that brings Lincolnshire’s history to life in a clear and engaging way. The exhibitions are thoughtfully laid out, with a great mix of social history, wartime displays, machinery, and everyday life from different eras. The large exhibits, including military vehicles and industrial artefacts, are particularly striking and well explained. Everything is well maintained, informative, and easy to follow, making it suitable for both adults and families. Staff were welcoming and helpful, and the space itself is spacious and easy to navigate. Best of all, it’s free to enter, which makes it excellent value and a must-visit if you’re in Lincoln. Highly recommended for anyone interested in local history or just looking for a meaningful, relaxed visit.

Free entry and lots to see and learn about. There were tasks for children to keep them engaged, but your interest will do the heavy lifting! Nice little cafe and giftshop. There is also a playground. Hide and seek was popular!

Visited today, a hidden gem.The Museum is easy to find. Free car parking, free entry. There are plenty of exhibits. The Museum is sited on an old army barracks You can find out about the part Lincolnshire played in war conflicts. You can view medals won by servicemen from Lincolnshire. There are also exhibits reflecting life in Lincoln from bygone days. The Staff are very helpful, there is a cafe with toilets. Well worth the visit. We shall visit again.
