Nant-y-Pandy is a 10-hectare (25-acre) Local Nature Reserve offering families an immersive experience in a richly diverse wooded valley. The reserve features enhanced pathways including a scenic boardwalk that winds along the Cefni river, three new bridges, and artistic sculptures—including a giant dragonfly and carved oak timbers featuring a poem by local poet Rolant o Fôn. Sculpted benches and picnic tables provide comfortable spots to rest and observe the surroundings. The woodland showcases seasonal highlights, with bluebells carpeting the forest floor in spring and wild daffodils brightening Coed Plas behind Saint Cyngar's Church. The reserve is home to diverse tree species including sessile oak, ash, wild cherry, beech, and Scots pine. Wildlife abounds throughout the year, making it ideal for nature-loving families. Visitors can spot birds such as blue tits, great tits, moorhen, wrens, grey wagtails, and occasionally kingfishers and dippers. The reserve also supports frogs, newts, adders, lizards, numerous butterfly species including gatekeeper and speckled wood, dragonflies, damselflies, and eight of Britain's sixteen bat species at dusk. Suitable for all ages and abilities, the flat boardwalk paths are pushchair-friendly, and the reserve welcomes dogs. Free entry and outdoor facilities make it an accessible destination for family wildlife observation, nature education, and peaceful woodland walks.

This place is amazing ,so we'll kept . Great walk ,views and sounds out of this world 🌎 and we saw red squirrels. And free just pay parking

Perfectly accessible place to visit for everyone: wheelchair users, oldies, buggies, small children. The well thought out wooden boardwalk means your can all enjoy at your own pace as it weaves amongst the trees, the ponds and open spaces. If you're lucky, you might even sort a rare red squirrel: only ~700 on the whole isle of Anglesey. You can come off the boardwalk and get a bit more into nature and walk up to the dam but this is different ground and not so easy for wheels or little legs. Parking is extremely reasonable at £1.50 for 2 hours

A lovely haven just a step away from two car parks. Easy to find, low cost parking and great boardwalks which are well maintained making is accessible to all abilities. Generally level and with lovely views of nature all around. If you like birds or squirrels, take seed with you, they will come and meet you for a photo shoot.

Been restored recently. Nice walk. Red squirrels seen. Currently fixing the raised walkway nearer to the reservoir, can walk along the old railway track in the meantime to get to Llyn Cefni reservoir

A beautiful walk, perfect for families with small children. The car park is conveniently located right at the start of the pathway, making it easy to access.
