Fascinating museum- beautifully curated & staffed by very friendly people. Informative for most ages. Some marvellous pictures.Great hats, merchandise & a good second hand bookstore which is a bonus. Good cafe & nice setting.

Wonderful experience for horse people and general public. So much to learn and to see some of the best of the best. It's a working stable so be aware no free roaming guides are brilliant.

We thoroughly enjoyed the visit to the NHRM. Fantastic look into the history of horse racing over the centuries. We also had the good fortune to meet Frank Conlon the former jockey and head lad for a number of legendary trainers. On the surface all looks very historically origional. The great guides at the museum and palace and stables explain how the Palace of Charles II and the rebuilding across three centuries changed the outlook you see today. The Newmarket Council have resurrected the palace, in part, and the stables in full which is a very thorough record of English racing history. There is so much to see and do get there for the 11am stable tour.. The stable manager is extremely knowledgeable. I wish I could have combined the National stud, but they are open only at weekends and Fridays.

Absolutely loved our trip. Such good value for money. My kids loved it. Never spent so long in a museum. The interactive side was amazing. They loved the simulator and the saddle display meeting the racehorses. Special mention to the man operating the simulator, he was really patient and kind with my daughter who is super anxious and shy. She went on it twice as she felt so relaxed. Definitely going back. All the staff were welcoming too.
