I can not believe ive lived in South Wales 44 years and never been to Ponty Lido. Absolutely immaculate, plenty of life guards, great little cafe. Value for money is exceptional. I arrive late and was accomdated to stay for the next session for a fee of course, but for the experience, no hesitation at all. I did find it hard to find but what hidden gem.

Great time spent here during the hot weather. Changing rooms could do with some minor repairs but the loss of a star came from the cafe being closed and very limited drinks options. We booked a double session so a coffee and/or some food options would have pushed this up to a 5. Very good place to take children.

Great community lido with one 25m open/lane pool, one play pool and one kids pool. The entire place has undergone an amazing transformation back to its former glory. A couple of things to note. Whilst it's a great pool for kids, it's not great for structured training as the water is heated to 28C. Also they're very strict with the time slots. When your allocated slot time is up, they announce on the tannoy and empty the pool. All that said it's definitely worth a trip.

Great facility for an open air swim. Very clean facilities, friendly staff, very reasonable prices and plenty of loungers when you want a break from swimming. I have been using the pool during term times when it never seems too busy and it has 3 graded swimming lanes. I also took the grandchildren during the summer holidays and they loved the fun sessions. My only complaint is the very loud music played over the speakers every time I have used the pool. Didn't mind it during the fun sessions but not sure that anyone appreciates the constant noise at other times.

This is a wonderful outdoor swimming sensation. In a safe and clean environment. The sessions are run very efficiently by a lady I heard referred to as 'Aunty Fran' and the lifeguards are friendly with everyone and there are even sets of people who go regularly and seem like they are always open for a chat. Even the more serious people in the BIG pool seem friendly on the whole but a bit more serious about their swimming.
