Excellent small museum... Gems worth seeing, knowledgeable staff. Lots of information and artifacts, roman garden through museum. Reconstructed barracks room

Absolutely top class Roman history experience. The best preserved Roman barracks that can be freely accessed in the whole of Europe. Followed 100 m away. by Britain's best preserved amphitheater. The excellent Village Bakery for snack lunch, 100 m beyond the museum. The Roman Legion Museum, is a brilliant way to end the tour, it so cleverly caters for all ages. Lots for the children, young and older adults. Today we were privileged to see the crochet spectacular of flowers in honour of the Goddess Floralia. Just a pity it runs for such a short time.

Small free museum which was a lovely. School trip was in progress with lots of very well behaved little ones enjoying the museum. My one disappointment was the "accessible" toilet facilities which was cramped and I found the wooden romanesque seat inaccessible and unsanitary.

It,s free, nice staff ,lot's of useful information and interesting items explained with care, they have a shop with affordable gifts, specially recommend the roman guide of the city for 4'95£, really helpful to navigate around the area. They also have something i had never seen before, a recreation of a roman garden ..awesome.

Been a big fan of the Roman Empire for a while now so took my kids to the Museum To try and install so of that joy I get. Museum is amazing, so ma artefacts on display along with an incredible narrative of the site making it really interesting and insightful. Staff were lovely and help too
