I thought this experience was best described as “fine”. There was a variety of animals from penguins to sharks and tunnels you can walk and crawl through submerging yourself in the experience. The whole thing only took us about 35 to 40 minutes. There used to be a cafe here which has since been removed. The majority of staff were pleasant

Excellent impromptu visit today. I had a couple of hours and decided to pop in and see all the wonderful creatures. I was a bit short on time so asked a guide who was just finished giving a lecture about the penguins to point me to the Beyond the Surface experience as I needed to be there shortly. He wasn't just pointing me to the direction, but actually walked me over. Absolutely great, thank you so much! My Beyond the Surface experience was fantastic - thanks Moe! I was the only one on that particular time, which felt like getting a private tour. Moe was knowledgeable and kind, happy to answer any questions and shared some great stories as well as showing me around. Then, as she knew I was heading to the otters, she walked me to the area so I don't waste any time! What a wonderful experience, thanks to both of you!! I only fleetingly caught the last otter as the feeding was over, but had a great time in the tunnel under the big tank and saw mesmerising jellyfish. I cannot recommend this experience enough if you have some time, I spent two hours and can tell you it was well worth it!

We had a lovely visit to SEA LIFE Birmingham and enjoyed seeing the different marine animals, especially the sharks, rays and colourful tropical fish. The aquarium is clean, well presented and makes for a nice family day out. That said, considering the price of admission, there is still room for improvement. The attraction feels quite small, and we expected to see a wider variety of sea life and exhibits for the amount we paid. One piece of advice for anyone planning to visit: book your tickets online in advance. The website advertised tickets from around £19, but buying them at the entrance cost us £28 per person, which is a significant difference. Booking ahead can save you a good amount of money. Overall, it’s an enjoyable attraction and worth visiting, but with a few more exhibits and better value for money, it could be an even better experience.

Me and my partner went to see the fish and sharks. Was a lovely experience with interactive posts and staff who provided information as well and a informative tour guide if chose to attend.. there's salt water and fresh water species of all kinds. Some fascinating creatures and we also got to see feeding time for a few fish. I attempted to touch the rays although I really shouldn't have and it is advised not to touch anything. The only things we didn't get to see much of were the sea otters who chose to venture into the other room outta sight. The sharks in the tunnel were a highlight for my partner. He's unfortunately too big to go into the smaller tunnels to go under the fish tanks and see from those angles but I managed to get in some and take videos and pictures. Was a lovely day out and he even bought us both a mug each from the gift shop. I would advise the shop to get more mug choices maybe pens and notebooks erasers and smaller trinkets for those who don't have alot of funds or school trips to be able to treat themselves. Overall a lovely day out. Tickets can also be found cheaper via different booking sites. We went via lovetobook or something and paid 18 each instead of 26/28 each

Firstly, there are more mush in a pet shop than there are at the National Sealife centre and for the best part of £50 for 2 adults, hardly worth the expense! We were bored and with very little to do, we came up with two suggestions, West Midlands Safari Park or the National SeaLife Centre. We should have chosen the former! On arrival we asked for 2 tickets and we were told that all booking must be made online or it is £28 per person with constant or veterans discount on offer. So we had to stand in the foyer and book tickets online at £22.45 each. The whole place took us 15 minutes, and that included stopping to take the videos and photos attached. There were a few tiny sharks, a few tropical fish, some lazy penguins and non-existent sea otters. A few tropical fish and about 6 jellyfish. If you like Finding Nemo, there was a tank packed with clown fish. Considering this advertises as the ‘National’ Sealife centre, you’d be better off visiting a pet shop for more variety! A really poor attraction and not even that great for kids. An overpriced garden centre!
