Had a lovely day at the National Trust Ashridge Estate. The views are beautiful, and there are plenty of walking trails to explore, whether you’re after a short stroll or a longer walk. There’s a great café on site for a coffee or a bite to eat, and it’s wheelchair accessible, making it easy for everyone to enjoy. A perfect place to get outdoors and unwind.

Wonderful wonderful place, maybe don't go when it's 34°c though 😂 Amazing place for walking, I recommend going in bluebell season (end of April, May time) like I did a few years previous. If you're not national trust member then it's £3 to go up the monument, I thought it was well worth it for the history & you get a wonderful view which on a slightly cloudier day, you would've seen London's central skyline! Lovely day out, definitely thinking of coming back September time when it's cooler.

Absolutely 5 stars for Ashridge Estate ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This place is so beautiful, it makes you question why you ever paid for therapy when you could have just come here and hugged a tree. Proper nature. Not “a few plants in a park” nature, I am talking full on wild forest vibes. The kind where you half expect a deer to judge your life choices as it walks past. Climbed up the “minar” (Ashridge Monument, but let’s be honest, it is basically a British version of “we built something tall, now climb it”). The view from the top is stunning. You go up as one person and come down as someone who suddenly appreciates oxygen and leg day. Perfect picnic spot as well. You lay out your food feeling all peaceful, until you realise nature has RSVP’d too, birds, squirrels, possibly that same judgemental deer. Still worth it. 10 out of 10 picnic chaos. Parking, loads of it. No circling around like you are auditioning for Fast and Furious National Trust edition. Just park, breathe, and pretend you are outdoorsy. There is a café and a shop too, because nothing says “I love nature” like finishing a walk and immediately buying snacks. And yes, you can even buy wild venison, which feels slightly awkward after bonding with the wildlife five minutes earlier. All in all, stunning, peaceful, slightly humbling, and unintentionally hilarious if you think about it too much. Would absolutely go again, mainly to see if that deer has forgiven me 😄

The place managed by the National Trust, is a stunning countryside destination set within the rolling hills of the Chilterns. Spanning thousands of acres of ancient woodlands, open meadows, and scenic trails, it’s a perfect escape for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The estate is especially famous for its breathtaking seasonal beauty—vibrant bluebells in spring, lush greenery in summer, rich golden hues in autumn, and peaceful frost-covered landscapes in winter. Visitors can enjoy long walks, cycling routes, and wildlife spotting, with chances to see deer roaming freely in parts of the estate. With well-maintained paths, family-friendly areas, and a peaceful atmosphere, Ashridge Estate is ideal for picnics, photography, and relaxing in nature. Whether you’re looking for adventure or tranquility, it offers a memorable experience and is truly one of the finest National Trust destinations in the UK.
