Once I managed to find the place, I had a wonderful time wandering around the gardens. A visit to the house was very interesting and the guides were friendly and helpful with any questions you had. Very nice cake and coffee sat outside. The gift shop was well stocked. Very clean toilets.

This is a beautiful place to spend a day. Lovely peaceful gardens and parklands. With a large vegetable garden, which is great to get some ideas on growing your own. The house is beautifully preserved with original features. Apparently you can stay on the top floor for a fee (landmark) . A lovely cafe that serves light meals and cakes. A good shop and all the staff we met were helpful pleasant and very knowledgeable of thier surroundings. Loved it. 👍🏻

As never been before we took the trip( about an hour) only to find no car parking spaces...everyone trying to.find a gap Apparently overflow car park was too wet and boggy..... finally found a spot up by church. But 3 entrances?? we missed the proper entrance to get card scanned but people were coming from different direction and no one would have spotted if they'd not paid???....we're told its an open area. Grounds were lovely and interesting house

Well worth taking the time to visit . Helpful volunteers took us up in the cart . House is lovely feel it needs a little tour . The shop is pleasant but no honey but hives in the grounds? . Tea rooms lovely and the cakes, staff and tea were all exceptional. Only reason not 5 star is lack of a tour although there was knowledgeable volunteers in every room . And no honey!! . But do visit the house ,grounds,church all beautiful.

What a lovely Tudor Mansion belonging to the Dryden family. Some lovely rooms which included some original Tudor decoration and the most lovely kitchen area that I've seen in a long time. The volunteers and staff were very friendly and welcoming. It has a lovely tea room which serves hot and cold snacks. The gardens are lovely and peaceful to walk around. All in all, a lovely visit.
