13th C house and small garden. Limited opening times, little outside coffee and food set up. Usually gardens quite pretty but this year affected by drought conditions. Probably a 2 hour visit unless you laze in the garden.
Beautiful house and gardens. All the staff very knowledgeable and learnt a lot about the house. Saw two lenticular paintings which were fascinating. Delicious cream tea in the garden.
Very interesting, beautiful medieval hall and gardens. Still lived in by owners. Very helpful NT staff. Advised we exit via the entrance as exit route quite narrow. Timed entry into house.
Visited on a sunny April afternoon. Very impressed with all aspects: Small but very interesting manor house. Very friendly and knowledgeable guides in each room. Attractive garden at rear. Did not try cafe as had just eaten but it looked very good so will do next time. No one of the trusts larger properties but very interesting. Staff were without exception enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Will return and maybe include a visit to nearby Tyntesfield. Well done National Trust
Lovely house and the volunteers were really friendly. The garden is beautiful and the fact there is a family still living there makes it a much more interesting visit. Everything are heirlooms and a family collection. Very interesting.
