We visited Formby beach on a lovely sunny day. Family & Dog friendly for sure. But be prepared, there are no bins at all. Very clean & quiet......exactly what We were looking for. Bring Your own food & drinks too, coz there's only an ice cream van in National Trust car park.
"We had an amazing time exploring the coast with family. The wide sandy beach and high dunes made for a perfect, relaxing day out together. Highly recommend for a family trip!"
I've been wanting to visit here for 7 years , finally managed to get here for the bank holiday Monday. Want a spectacular beach ⛱️ lovely sand dunes. Bit of a track to get do the destination but worth it. Waters edge quite a walk away. Nice and shallow , not the cleanest water though. Overall a gorgeous large clean beach.
A stunning beach with golden dunes, peaceful woodland, and plenty of space to unwind. Clean, scenic, and ideal for families, walkers, and nature lovers. One of the most beautiful and relaxing coastal spots in the region.
Now the area has re-opened (following the incredible conservation work) I took an evening walk to check out the new area in peace. There is a large new National Trust car park, lovely new pine woodland walks and what has been done to conserve the spectacular dunes and rare wildlife is well worth a trip to see.
