Beautiful house with an exquisite garden. Informative guides. Worth a visit. It's a prebooked timed ticket to visit so don't just turn up. Small carpark with height barrier.

Wonderful garden and small house. But you do have to book in advance now which is annoying and restrictive if you’re coming a distance via Charleston. Nevertheless it’s a wonderful reachable domestic scale garden loads of ideas to be inspired by. Nearby car park no cafe. House is sweet and great colour scheme.

Such a humbling experience for me as a graduate of literature. I was in awe the entire time I was visiting the place, thinking that she wrote and grappled with ideas in this very place. The garden is splendid in summer, it is an oasis of peace and quiet. The volunteers were very helpful and generous with their time. A must-see National Trust place.

Excellent treasure trove just a stones throw from Lewes. We explored the beautiful house and gardens. We were welcomed by lovely Sandra and Yvonne whom informed us on all matters Virginia Wolf. Found out I was more into Vanessa ;) the nearby Church and scenery is stunning! We’ll Definitely be visiting again when it opens in the spring!

A nice house in beautiful and extensive grounds. We went on a sunny afternoon and it was quite delightful. It was the second time we had visited and I think I enjoyed it more this time. Park down the road and walk up. There are no refreshments at the house but you could take a picnic and then play bowls. Why not!
