Go early! Best NT I’ve visited in a long time, well kept and with really friendly/knowledgeable guides - especially in the Whistler Mural room! Stunning scenery and a very well presented garden landscape/walk. Midweek out of school holidays is the time to go. Apparently there are red squirrels…..

Stunning views. We arrived too late for the house but the gardens are beautiful and the location is fantastic for just sitting by the Menai and for the views of Snowdonia

Beautiful gardens with views across the menial strait. The house has a few rooms to explore but generally the inside pays homage to the various Marquess of Anglesey and their colourful lives. The house interiors and displays feel a little tied and lack context, but the Rex Whistler mural is well worth seeing.

Spent 2.5 hours here walking around the grounds which had a great mix of scenery of the coast, lots of greenery and formal planting scheme. Lots for kids too including a tree house and play ground areas. Hot food was served in cafe area and the house also was interesting to have a look around.

One of the smaller properties therefore no need to rush easily spending half-a-day absorbing all the information on offer. William Paget, an advisor to Henry VIII began the family succession here. Good view of Mt Snowdon from the gardens overlooking the Menai Straits. The property is also known for the Whistler mural, worth the visit on its own. All the usual amenities available.
