Beautiful ride on lake Coniston but is a bit expensive if you have a large family. However stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains and countryside.

So smooth and comfortable. Not as much commentary as I would have preferred but still enjoyable. Lovely way to see the lake. We did the Heart of the Lake Coniston cruise.

A unique boat trip. Well worth the cost to experience something 150 years old. Good, insightful commentary. Just enough, it did overwhelm the experience, as some commentaries can. Wrap up, it's cold on the water.

We had a lovely time on the steam gondola, we took the hour trip which was just right with a little one in tow. It was a calm and serene trip and surprisingly quiet. Good amount of commentary as well. We did not book in advance, on the website it said fully booked but we turned up anyway snd were able to get on. We were lucky with the weather.

Although representing only 5% of the original gondola it's still a beautiful boat and a great way to see Coniston waters. The steam engine doings are open to be viewed in action.
