Absolutely stunning! A must visit place- make sure you allow plenty of time, wear comfortable footwear and take a drink. The team there were very knowledgeable and friendly. Will visit again with a picnic. Loos are clean with lots of disabled access toilets. Dogs are welcome on leads. Large second hand book department.

Amazing place. Stunning views, bird life and interesting buildings/ monuments/bridges. Don't come here expecting traditional gardens/flowers - there aren't any. It's basically acres and acres of country walks. One negative for us was a lack of toilets, just a couple of basic portaloos at the entrance to the grounds but they are rectifying this building a toilet block. The facilities when you arrive though are excellent - can highly recommend the ice cream cabin!

We absolutely loved our visit. Beautiful gardens and house. It's a bit of a walk to the main part, but we loaded everything into a trolley and at up our picnic near the lake. £45 for a family of 5 and we indulged in ice creams and drinks which weren't too expensive. Highly recommend and we'll be back.

A stunning garden, with beautiful walks. Staff are very friendly and helpful! There is a lovely bookshop on site and a restaurant to grab a quick bite. Would recommend visiting at least once in your life!

Absolutely amazing place to visit! You really need a whole day to explore everything properly - the gardens are huge (around 1,000 acres) and every corner has something beautiful to discover. The landscaping is stunning, with waterfalls, peaceful lakes, and so many scenic walking routes that you never get bored. It’s the perfect place to slow down, enjoy nature, and just wander around. Every view feels like a postcard! The manor house tours require a separate ticket, even for National Trust members, but they’re worth it if you want the full experience. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone who enjoys nature and long relaxing walks. One of the best National Trust places I’ve visited! The café serves excellent food and was the perfect stop to relax and recharge after exploring.
