Beautiful walks around the lakes and along the river. Free parking was an added bonus.

Needham Park is a lovely spot for a relaxing day outdoors. With a scenic path around the lake, it’s perfect for a peaceful walk or a casual stroll with friends. One of its standout features is the dedicated BBQ area—a great place to gather, grill, and enjoy nature. It’s clean, calm, and ideal for a weekend outing.

I have driven past this lake many times and finally turned the car around to enjoy it properly and it didn't disappoint! The lake is beautiful and filled with ducks, swans and we even spotted baby chicks! There are several resting points around the lake so you can just sit and get lost in the sunshine hitting the water with the sounds of nature filling the air! The circular walk was beautiful...really not long at all and a lovely way to explore the beautiful wooden sculptures along the way. The lake is free to visit, free to park and there is a playground area just over the bridge where Children are free to let off steam!

What a lovely place. Right opposite Needham Market station, it's a lovely lake, full of ducks. Duck food is available to buy in the cafe (50p at time of writing) and there's a fully accessible circular walk, which takes approximately 20 minutes. Fishing is allowed and over the bridge, there's a great play park and cafe. When my children were small, this was perfect: outdoor (and indoor) tables where the adults can nurse a hot drink, whilst the children work off some energy on the excellent activities. The cafe serves excellent smoothies, milkshakes, hot drinks (£5.75 for a hot drink and cake, at time of writing), snacks and jacket potatoes. Oh and doggie ice cream. What else do you need?
