North Shropshire and South Cheshire are litttered with sandstone outcrops. This is one of the better ones.

Amazing walk with stunning views. Uneven path and can get quite steep, however, my 4 year old managed to climb to the top. Not a suitable walk for pushchairs and there's some quite steep drops. There is also a park close by that is lovely and get to run the kids.

Kynaston Cave made for a very interesting visit as part of a scenic and enjoyable walk. The cave itself has a fascinating history and is well worth the short detour. The surrounding countryside is peaceful and offers lovely views. However, do be aware that a sign near the cave marking the correct path is currently broken and missing. It’s easy to miss the turning and end up going the wrong way, so keep a close eye around that area. Overall, a great outing, but a little extra navigation awareness is recommended near the cave. Watch out for sheer drops.

Really good walks, we thoroughly enjoyed it. They offer some spectacular scenery and old quarry workings. Although it's best to keep an eye on children and your dogs, some edges are not signposted or fenced, and you do not want to fall off these sheer drops. The views were amazing, but Kynaston Cave is something quite unexpected, it's entrance is fenced off to prevent entry into the cave, but it's still worth a look if you're in this neck of the woods.

A beautiful walk that's really accessible. Plenty of shade and cover, courtesy of the tall pine trees. A walk to the top is definitely worthwhile for some stunning views (weather dependant!). Check out the Highway man's cave for some fascinating history. We spotted some graffiti which was dated 1893! Advisory note - if it's been raining prior to your intention to visit, be sure to take some rugged footwear or Wellington boots!
