We really enjoyed our paddleboard and snorkel experience at Newquay Activity Centre. Our instructor, Rudi, was very friendly, supportive, and informative during our session, and we learnt lots about the area and the wildlife that we saw. The paddleboarding and snorkelling combination was great and gave us the opportunity to enjoy the Newquay coast from above and below.

We have never been paddle boarding before but our instructor Rudi was very easy going and made learning easy and our trip fun (the hardest part was honestly getting into the wetsuit), we really enjoyed snorkeling and was lucky enough to see a young grey seal up close (very fat and cute). It was our first ever trip experience and it couldn't have gone better, I would highly recommend and will be back again on our next trip! :D Unfortunately videos cannot be sent so a blurry photo of the seal it is

My daughters did the beginners surfing lesson and Leroy and Zak were brilliant with them. They were really patient and enthusiastic teachers. We also did the coasteering as a family with Heath. Again, we had such a good time and made some amazing memories. Heath was patient and didn't pressurise anyone into doing anything they didn't want to buy always gave positive encouragement. See you next year for some different activities!

We had the best experience with Newquay Activity Centre — easily the best activity centre in Newquay! The surf lesson was absolutely brilliant from start to finish. The instructors were friendly, encouraging, and made everything feel safe and fun. A huge shoutout to trainee surf instructor Phoebe, who was incredible throughout the session. She was patient, enthusiastic, and gave such clear guidance and confidence boosts that she had her standing up on only her second ever wave! You could really tell how much the team care about making sure everyone has an amazing experience, regardless of ability level. The atmosphere was relaxed, supportive, and genuinely fun. Couldn’t recommend Newquay Activity Centre more highly — we’ll definitely be back!

I had two one-to-one bodyboarding sessions with James and they were incredibly valuable. The conditions were challenging with heavy swell and quite big waves, but James was calm, attentive, and really focused on helping me build both skill and confidence in the water. We worked a lot on refining the fundamentals, especially wave catching and improving my duck dive, which made a huge difference in more demanding conditions. I felt properly supported throughout, which gave me the confidence to push further out to the back than I normally would. On Friday, James was joined by his partner Amy who took photos, which was such a great addition as it gave me useful footage to review afterwards. On Monday, she joined us in the water, and her tips, especially around landing a 360, were really helpful. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, much more effective than going out on my own, and I came away feeling more confident, more capable, and with clear things to keep working on. I’d highly recommend James and Amy to anyone looking to progress their bodyboarding in a supportive and technical way.
