Norbury Park is a peaceful spot with lovely woodland trails and open countryside 🌳 It’s ideal for walking, cycling, dog walking, or simply enjoying some fresh air. The scenery is beautiful, and there’s plenty of space to explore at a relaxed pace. Some paths can get muddy after rain, but it’s still a great place for a day outdoors.

Norbury Park is a proper breath of fresh air if you like your walks with a wilder edge — think sweeping chalk grassland and shady woodland trails rather than manicured flowerbeds 🌾🌳 The views down over the Mole Valley are absolutely cracking on a clear day, and it never feels crowded even when the sun’s out 🌞👀 It’s brilliant for dog walking or just escaping the bustle of Leatherhead without actually going far 🐕‍🦺🍃 Just bear in mind it’s more rugged countryside than a play park, so bring decent shoes 👟💚

I went Hurdle making. A traditional old fence panel used to keep the sheep in. A two day course. Thoroughly enjoyed it. 2 days in the open with good company. Its not something i have ever done before and ots not easy usong the old tools in the traditional way, but I brought it home as a proud memento. Not sure where it will go.

Large public park, formerly the grounds of a large manor house, purchased by Surrey County Council in the early 1930s to preserve green space in a national first. The park is a mix of farmland, woodland and open chalk grassland that's a haven for wildflowers in late spring and early summer. Of particular note are the ancient yew trees in the Druid's Grove area. Part of the woodland has been made into a sensory trail. Unfortunately some of the woodland around the Centenary Viewpoint area was closed off at the time of my visit, meaning not all of the park was accessible. That said, there were still some fine views of Box Hill, the Greensand Ridge and the London skyline at various points, many accompanied by a bench or picnic tables. Free parking at Crabtree Lane, though no other facilities until you've reached the coffee shop site and picnic area near the sawmill. Well behaved dogs welcome. Longer walks are possible beyond the park alongside the River Mole and to Box Hill. Box Hill and Westhumble station is less than 20 minutes walk away.
