Huge planes outside and inside. Children enjoyed the simulator. An amazing burger van on site! Plenty to see with huge collections. Lovely board walk to the river.

Excellent museum covering a wide variety of units, history and collections. Well worth a visit for some unusual aircraft and learning about USAAF units that were based in the area. Luftwaffe aircraft remains fascinating!

Nice museum for aviation enthusiasts. Reasonably priced and plenty to see. Little cafe serving refreshments and ample parking. Nice day out.

The museum is a fantastic place for aviation enthusiasts and professionals alike. The outside exhibits are varied and accessible to view. Some are quite weather beaten, one in need of a lot of tlc, however, their uniqueness is there for all to see. Add to the exhibits, the many very knowledgable and highly enthusiastic volunteers, and you have the ingredients for a highly informative and memorable history experience. What is so satisfying to see, are the many individual donations of memorabilia that are displayed all round the myriad of spaces within the hanger complex. Great care has obviously been taken to display both large and sometimes small donations. It would be easy to take a day just reviewing the various displays which cover a large span of aviation history both wartime and post war. An amazing experience. An incredible museum worthy of support. AS a PS. Travelling from the Norwich area. I did find that there was no "Tourist Attraction" signage for the museum on the route that I took. Sat Nav did take me through the centre of Bungay and out on the Halesworth Road, before turning right to Flixworth. I would not recommend this route due to the high number of parked vehicles along Halesworth Road effectively restricting the roadway to single lane. The sign for turning into the complex again is not that obvious due to Spring growth of the adjacent hedges! There are suggested routings on the website for the museum.

What a hidden gem this museum is! We spent over 3 hours exploring all the different planes, jets and artefacts - there was so much to see and do! Best of all were the incredible volunteers, particularly Martin and Alan, who gave our 12 year old son a flying lesson in the flight simulator and also let him have a go on an instrument simulator from the 1940s! We got to see several planes up close in the cockpit and even experience an Anderson shelter in the blitz. The enthusiasm and knowledge of the volunteers was amazing and for only £20 for a family ticket (which we turned into an annual pass by gift aiding our admission) this was an awesome aviation-fuelled family day out. Highly recommend and we’re already looking forward to coming back!
