Very tranquil, it's not just the birds you see and hear. It's the area, it's lovely. If you fancy getting away for a few hours, I would recommend. It's quiet, no loud noises, no kids running around loudly. Well worth the drive.

Lovely walk around the wetlands, very good for birdspotting as there are shelters dotted around each lake with a good view, and saw a large variety of different birds such as swans, waders, comorants, red kites and peregrines, even a few otters occasionally spotted surfacing the waters. Bare in mind, there are no paths in some areas and there it can get very muddy and slippy and might not be overly accessible. There is good range of parking available as well as a burger van to get cheap food and drinks.

Lovely Wetlands with a lot of hides. Really enjoyed my time there. Definitely worth a trip if you're in the vicinity

A beautiful nature reserve with lots of really good hides to observe the birds. The paths are well maintained. It's easy to spend many hours here photographing the wildlife. There's a great snack van here too. Highly recommended.
