I am a Korean who regularly visits the UK. I visited this place while staying in Brigg to participate in a martial arts tournament and I have a great interest in history. A wide variety of artifacts are on display, ranging from fossils, prehistoric times, iron age, Celtic, Roman, Anglo-Saxon, and Norman periods, to medieval England and the modern era. Of course, I also really enjoyed the conversations with the friendly staffs

An amazing museum full of interesting artefacts from Fossils right through to Scunthorpe’s steelworks and it is free to enter. The two staff members who were there at the time of my visit were so friendly, helpful and knowledge. The well laid out displays were interesting and enjoyed the nostalgia cabinets and could relate to many of the items. There is also a free carpark. Well worth a visit.

A lovely, small museum showcasing the local history. We loved the variety of different time periods on the ground floor and there is a lift to the upper level as well as stairs. We’ve been a couple of times and been impressed with the quality of the exhibits and the clarity of the explanations. Loved the section on more recent times - lots of reminiscing with Grandma! Look in forward to returning for the living history day in July!

Deceptively bigger than expected and free! Staff were welcoming and friendly, explained the exhibitions, and for a bank holiday Monday; it was quieter than expected too. Lots of exhibitions, lots of interesting information and a lovely little courtyard at the back/side but no cafe; so good for picnics. Great information and some interactive things for kids to get involved in. Car park is a little out of the way, but plenty of parking and accessible for all.
