I found the park to be very peaceful, The cafe was open and the ladies that served me were friendly and helpful. There were toilets next to the cafe which were in a reasonable condition considering they are public, if you know what I mean. The bins were empty which is also a plus because this just attracts vermin which isn't good for the kids to see. The park has a small scooter and outdoor gym area as well as a well maintained play area. Nice park all in all.
Northlands Park is a hidden gem in Basildon! The park is beautifully maintained with plenty of open green spaces, making it the perfect spot for a relaxing walk or a family picnic. The large lake is a highlight, attracting a variety of wildlife, which adds to the peaceful atmosphere. There’s also a great playground for kids, which my little ones absolutely loved. The park feels safe and welcoming, and there's ample parking nearby. Whether you're looking for a quiet escape in nature or a place to let the kids run around, Northlands Park has something for everyone. Highly recommended for locals and visitors alike!
Does have a lovely lake used to be used for fishing but has been taped off due to uneven surfaces. This has a small cafe, lots of benches to sit on and around the park. Great for kids, has playing area, great for dog walking and just having a stroll.
Great recreational area, really beautiful. Plenty to do including two play areas, skate board ramps and a basketball court. Fishing free on the lakes and platforms around lakes for ease of use. We'll surfaced around main path but also lots of off tarmac areas. Great little cafe that takes card. Free parking. Ideal for children and families
It's a great park. You can have a pleasant stroll around. There are Facilities for children, a cafe, a toilet, fishing lakes and quite a large area to walk/run. Park run is usually held here. There are flat areas and some steep inclines. The area is well maintained with general litter bins and dog bins scattered around. The council usually supplies bags for dog's mess, these are situated near the car parking area. My only concern with this park is that there are less busier areas where you can feel vulnerable, so when the park is quieter it's best to stay near the busier areas (the children's park and cafe area).
