Lovely family park. Lots of car parking around. Playground for the kids with amenities just around the corner. Very close to the high street for access to meals and drinks. Walking trail around the park. A lovely lake to swim/kayak 🏊‍♀️ in. Great place to spend some hours.

Visiting Parc Padarn within Eryri / Snowdonia National Park, here in Llanberis, North Wales was a really nice experience, this May 2026. As you will see from my pictures it is a really scenic, peaceful place to relax and unwind. I particularly liked walking through the old slate quarry railway tunnel, the ferns / other wild plants, the lily pond and the lake itself. A beautiful part of North Wales. Enjoy! :)

I absolutely loved my walk around Lake Padarn — it’s one of those places that perfectly captures the beauty of North Wales. The trail is well-marked and easy to follow, offering a mix of woodland paths, open lakeside stretches, and incredible mountain scenery, especially with Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) in the background. The area around Llanberis is lovely too, with cafés and a visitor centre if you want a break.

The experience in the valley and river is great. We wished to take a boat ride. But the firm running it was not accepting card payments. They were only accepting cash, but nearby cash machine was out of money. I kindly request them to accept card payments too. It’s a perfect evening picnic spot for the family. Go with swim suits.

Lovely country park. Beautiful walks and scenery. It costs £4 to park all day there are public toilets which were spotlessly clean. Amazing views over the lake and towards mount Snowdon.
