We love a day out in Buxton a couple of times a year. A highlight of our visit is always a walk through the Pavilion Gardens, beautiful architecture and a plethora of tropical plants within. With our mos recent visit being in July, the friendly Canada Geese in the park had the most endearing clutches of rapidly growing Goslings.

Didn't know there was a mini garden conservatory which was free to wander through. This led us to a dining area with quite a varied choice. We had a bar meal of a club sandwich with bacon tomato and masses of chicken. A side of nice crispy chips came with it. We are upstairs with views over the gardens. There was an art exhibition on upstairs too. The club sandwich was very good and filing! Would recommend for sure. Unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time left on our car park but will definitely come back to explore the gardens more.

Rich Victorian's entertainment place with all the imagination and money from the industrial revolution. Clean and free toilets, mainly wheelchair accessible. A wonderful park rain or shine. Would highly recommend.

We didn't fully know what to expect we just did a quick detour and we weren't disappointed. Lovely gardens to stroll around, lots of different plants to see, trees to identify (they had name plaques which we thought was a good idea!) Nice little waters etc. Overall a lovely little hour or 2 passed just a nice relaxing stroll around. Lovely little shop we bought a couple of gifts from. And we also visited the cafe- this was the most disappointing. All of the premade food options contained mayonnaise which meant I personally couldn't eat them, but other than that, reasonably priced, good choice of fillings, selection of cakes and smaller bits too if you wished. Neither of the 2 car park paying machines were working on the day we visited.

Pavilion Gardens is a mix of sweeping lawns, little bridges, and gentle riverside paths. The restored Victorian conservatory is a real highlight — bright, elegant, and full of character — and the café is perfect for a quick coffee before wandering further. What really stands out is how beautifully the gardens are maintained.
