We could have spent longer, still loads we missed, beautiful place, amazing play area, we didn't get to go to the indoor one we ran out of time.
Fantastic place! Stayed all day. Lots to see. Got our steps in and some! Fabulous indoor and outdoor areas for the children. Feed available at £1.50 a generous bag to hand feed the ducks, geese and swans. Around the far side of the lake a cuckoo was calling non-stop whilst we ambled along the waters edge. Lots of other birdsong too... relaxing and peaceful. Benches dotted around to sit and take in the view, hides to sit in and watch the wildlife. I absolutely loved the sound garden with the sound of the waterfall and gongs. Plenty of parking, which is free. Large cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, highchairs provided. Loos at the entrance with the most unusual cubicle doors! A well stocked shop to browse. Plants for sale. You must visit soon. I enjoyed every moment!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Pensthorpe is a fantastic place to visit for all ages. The park is beautifully maintained, with stunning landscapes, peaceful walking trails, and an amazing variety of wildlife. It's the perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, and spend quality time with family and friends. The gardens and habitats are beautifully designed, and there is always something interesting to see, from colourful birds to scenic lakes and woodland areas. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the facilities are excellent. Whether you're a keen nature lover, photographer, or simply looking for a great day out, Pensthorpe offers a wonderful experience. Highly recommended and definitely worth visiting again!
Have not visited here for at least 15 years, but as we now live close by, we thought we'd give it a go It's still a lovely place to walk around. Though it will look much better in the slightly warmer weather. The bluebells looked stunning. Lots of easy paths to walk around - so it's up to you how far you want to go It does seem like the gulls are taking over a little at the moment. They were the birds we saw (and heard) the most. We kinda saw the flamingoes, but they were tucked away a little. There was other wildlife, including a big, fat rat - but we were in a hide so it didn't bother us The cafe was great. Very good pie (steak) and salad (quinoa). Decent tea.
Fabulous place. We've been here lots of times over the years usually in the summer when the grounds are filled with plants of all kinds. Visually stunning. We came with our grandchildren after Easter and they had a great time exploring the grounds. They loved their free magnifying glasses which were a nice touch and they both got free badges and stickers on leaving. Kids outside play area was brilliant and they really enjoyed themselves.
