I love Pepper Wood, it’s beautiful, quite peaceful and well cared for. However, the directions on Google Maps are inaccurate if you are travelling by car as the route suggested takes you to the entrance where there is no car park. If you are going by car you will need to be at the bottom of the woods not the top.

Beautiful ancient woodlands. Well cared for by volunteers on Wednesdays & Sundays. Our first visit with the dog midweek. Was greeted by a male volunteer who was welcoming and couldn’t be more helpful. He gave us a brief description of the woods and even suggested a trail. Would definitely recommend 💯

A lovely and peaceful wood to walk round, to enjoy nature and listen to birdsong. Still a few bluebells remaining as of today (1 June).

Enjoyed Pepper Wood, nice walk through and looks like plenty of care and attention, and activities for volunteering if you want to learn basic wood crafting skills like coppicing
