It's a magical place, a secret garden. Beautiful. Very nice people working here. It's open to public few days a year but you can become a member or book it for a group visit. Schools visits are popular, there's even nice classroom. It is a nature reserve but it's not just wild forest, it's shaped to look it's best. Interesting fact is that i it was a place to dump rubbish in XIX century. The hill is overgrown but sometimes digging is organised and you may find some 'treasure'. The wood is probably 900 years old but many trees were used to build Paddington station and replanted. However there are few trees thought to be 400 years old. Od course bluebells are the main attraction here but the wild garlic looks nice too. You may see the bluebells on the pictures but to smell them you have to come.

Perivale Wood feels like a hidden patch of countryside tucked away in west London. The best thing is the wildlife and the sense that the woodland has been left largely untouched. Walking through the trees and spotting birds makes it a memorable visit, especially during spring when the woodland flowers appear

Lovely morning spent wandering around Perivale Wood Nature Reserve on one of the rare days they’re open to the general public. The Bluebells were in full bloom and almost completely carpeted the ancient woodland floor. Truly magical only slightly spoilt by very noisy parakeets! They were supposed to open at 10am but let me in a bit earlier which allowed a lovely solitary meander. There’s also light refreshments available - I had a lovely lemon cake and a cuppa. Highly recommended if you fancy a break from the noise of the city.
