Visit websiteLots of positives, the pool is big and a decent temperature. The changing rooms are pretty grotty and no mirror or anything but no big deal for us. Unfortunately the very over the top lifeguards spoilt if for us, treating us all like we’re in prison, non stop blowing their whistles and shouting at people to basically stop having fun! They were even trying to boss my child around when not in the pool and I highlighted they’re just kids having fun. Not sure if I’d go back, simply because the lifeguards were such a downer and it put my son on edge a bit, he was nervous to do anything as he didn’t want to get shouted at by the grumpy lifeguards.
Glad that i got to experience this heatwave in a public pool. Lovely to see all the life guards doing their job to the best of the ability. It will be the last time that i visit the public pools as it was too expensive. It was a Tuesday afternoon, after 4, i was charged £17.00 for two adults .. is this correct... I think it was a rip off. I would like to know why i paid so much? Please can management reply back on my review.
There is a line of mold around the big swimming pool and a huge big amount of mold at the bottom of the deepest area of it. Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. Water was bit dirty. No showers around the swimming pool to remove the suncream before the bath. Music too laud. A lot of safeguard staff, that is pretty good. I asked one of the safeguard staff about that mold and her excuse was ridiculous. It was because the suncream produce it and goes to the deep area. Do they think I'm/we're stupid?
Visited the Lido for the first time on May Day Bank Holiday and would happily return. Great facility and excellent value for money. The team running it, especially the life guards are extremely professional, on it but friendly. Places like this need investment and must stay open as they create space and opportunities for people to relax and have fun. Nice vibes there. Thank you team Peterborough Lido.
What a fantastic place! It's so nice to have a traditional building that sparks memories of days gone by. The main pool is huge, with plenty of space to swim, play catch or use inflatables. There are lockers there with a refundable £1 charge. There are toilets, benches and a cafe there, that serves chips and burgers, sandwiches, drinks and cakes. The prices are reasonable as well. They sell ice lollies as well. We sat on the grassy area with a picnic blanket. There is a small play area for kids with a climbing frame, slide and swing. Plenty of space to find a spot to sit. The water in the pool was a good temperature.
