We visited a couple weeks ago on a rainy day, it wasn't very big and didn't take us than 1 ½ hours to walk around. The man who i think was feeding the mantis as we walked in, was very friendly and got some of the spider molts to show the kids and gave lots of info, you could tell he was very passionate about he job which was lovely to see! There was a little trail you could buy for kids, which was a little difficult to work out and a little cafe inside which we didn't eat at so can't comment on food and drink, and also a little gift shop with some reasonably priced bits for the kids. Overall we would pop back if we are visiting the area again😊

What an amazing day. Went along with sister in law and brother and we really enjoyed it. We didn't have to wait to get in. We thoroughly emersed ourselves with the whole experience. I loved learning about the various animals on show and we even walked round twice. Even bought some gifts from the gift shop.

As a home ed trip, we visited yesterday (Friday) it was lovely and quiet, however as expected there was as school trip on our way out. This place is beautiful, clean, lovely animals and education information (some I didn't even know) gift shop was reasonably priced and overall was a lovely morning. As a disabled woman I have to note this for any other disabled/ chronically ill visitors. It is extremely humid in places, understandably, so please bare that in mind, it was disabled friendly. And love that they offer concession tickets for disabled visitors. ( I used my blue badge as proof). I also want to give a massive shout out to the staff, who not only were amazing on the entrance but as we got to the photo part, a staff member seen I was doing something the wrong way, and he popped up to help without even being asked. And honestly I really appreciated that, so thank you

Have visited as a family and a school trip. Exotic animals to see in the rainforest and desert environment. Very hot under the glass roof! Beautiful surroundings suitable for a couple of hours visit. Knowledgeable staff and volunteers.

They had a wonderful display of dead plants in the meerkat area. You’d be lucky to get more than an hour out of this place. Needs some TLC. The exotic pets shop in Pugh’s garden centre is a worthy competitor and it’s free. The information on the animals is limited and little in the way of interactivity for children.
